Marvel fans are really hoping to see Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Wolverine in Deadpool 3. It will be a long shot, but as I said before, if anyone can make it happen it is Ryan Reynoldsdirector Shawn Levyand the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige.
Deadpool 3 screenwriter Rhett Reese was recently asked about the possibility of Jackman’s return in an interview on the Post-Credit Podcast. He said, “I don’t know. Look, we don’t have any inside information on this. Even if we did, we couldn’t share it but we don’t.”
Sure, he has information on that! He’s writing the fucking movie script! He knows if Wolverine is in that script or not. Regardless, Reese offered a hint on the type of actor that should be hired to replace Jackman by saying:
“Tips … Must be someone shorter this time … So maybe a Zack Galifianakis or Patton Oswalt, someone like that … honestly I’d go more … an unknown person, because Hugh Jackman was reasonably unknown the first time and I think there was an initial backlash [of], ‘Oh, he’s too tall’ or, ‘He doesn’t look good’ or, ‘What is this Australian thing?’ I think if they’re playing their cards right, they probably should do some we’ve never seen. “
I completely agree with him in choosing a short and unknown actor to play the role of Wolverine. This is the way to go! I’m a pretty short guy and I’ve always loved Wolverine for that. He was a tough and wild type! Deliver that version of Wolverine later!
