Scoot McNairy (Argon, Narcos: Mexico) joined the cast of the film Whore, based on the best-selling book. She joins the Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams (The fighter, The American hustle and bustle), protagonist of the film, which tells the story “of a suburban mother involved in the routine of raising a child at home. As she embraces the feral power deeply ingrained in her motherhood, she becomes more and more aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may turn into a dog.
McNairy will play Adams’ husband, who travels frequently on the project. Marielle Heller (Can you ever forgive me?) directs from his own screenplay, adapted from Rachel YoderThe debut novel.
Whore will be streamed on Disney’s DTC platforms such as Hulu Original in the US, with additional release plans to be announced. Sounds like an interesting original story. Can’t wait to watch?
