The madness of “Doctor Strange 2” is the most watched in streaming after its premiere on Disney +

More than a month after being released in theaters, ‘Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness’ premiered on Disney + and quickly began to climb the list of the most viewed movies in the world of streaming, to find itself among the first places along with ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’.

The sequel to “Doctor Strange” has caused quite a stir since it was announced because it was promoted as the continuation of “Spiderman: No Way Home” and thus the Marvel Cinematic Universe multiverse would continue to be explored. Once in theaters, it didn’t disappoint expectant fans and became the highest-grossing film of 2022 … until “Top Gun: Maverick” was released and stripped of its title.

However, the excitement of its story resurfaced after it premiered on Disney + in June and quickly became one of the most popular films in its catalog. He was so successful after his arrival at this service that ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ was ranked as the most watched on streaming platforms.

According to the most recent Just Watch report, this movie ranks fourth in the top 10 most viewed movies on streaming platforms, at least in Mexico. The film directed by Sam Rami and starring Benedict Cumberbatch joins this ranking just days after arriving on Disney + with the promise of competing with “Top Gun” and the other productions that surpass it.

Now that it has made it to the Apple TV catalog, it has become one of the hottest films of the moment.

On the other hand, under ‘Doctor Strange 2’ there are other films that have also been very popular at the box office and for the same reason it is not surprising that they have also achieved success on streaming platforms. This is the case of ‘The Man from the North’ and ‘The Mystery of Soho’, the two most recent films by Anya Taylor Joy in a starring role.
