One of the few actors who has had the opportunity to play more than one character in Marvel movies is Chris Evans, who started The Human Torch in “The Fantastic Four” and later Captain America within the MCU. Now, he reveals that if he were to play a villain in this universe, he would like to have the chance to have Loki as his character.

In an interview with Buzzfeed in the company of several puppies, Chris Evans talked about his participation in his most recent film, ‘Lightyear’; as well as in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America.

Although for more than ten years, Chris Evans played Captain Americathe actor revealed that if he were to play a villain in this superhero universe, he’d probably choose Loki because he’s the one who has the most freedom and fun within the entire MCU.

Maybe Loki is the one who seems to have the most fun, “he said.

The actor didn’t delve into the character, but it’s a fact Chris Evans would like to play Loki if they gave him the choice of a villain role in the Marvel movies; even if that character is already well mastered by Tom Hiddleston and it would be difficult for another actor to bring him back to life with the great reference that has kept him for a decade.

Will Chris Evans return to Marvel as Captain America?

The last time Chris Evans played Captain America was in “Avengers: Endgame,” a film that premiered in 2019 and which basically meant the actor’s departure from this world and the almost official farewell of the character in the UCM. Since then neither he nor the superhero has been part of any other production of the house of ideas and conversely other heroes have followed his legacy as in ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.

On more than one occasion the actor has been questioned about the possibility of a return to Marvel and although he confesses to love the character, he also accepts that perhaps this is a stage that, for now, is already closed. So, at the moment, there would be little chance of him returning to the house of ideas, although there is hope that he will in the future.

For now, Chris Evans has only ‘Ghosted’, a romantic action comedy that stars opposite Ana de Armas for Apple TV + and which will arrive after the world saw his participation in ‘The Gray Man’ and his dubbing for ‘Light Year’.
