Square Enix recently held the Final Fantasy VII Streaming for 25th anniversary celebration. During the event, fans got their first look Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PS5 which is the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake. There was also the announcement of an HD remaster for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII called Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion; an ad for a version of Final Fantasy VII Intergrade for PC which was recently launched and is compatible with Steam Deck; and trailers for upcoming mobile games Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis And Final Fantasy VII The first soldier.
First, we’ll cover FFVII Rebirth. This sequel is designed so that players can enjoy the game regardless of whether or not they played the original game. As Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura noted:
As revealed during the broadcast, there are currently four FINAL FANTASY VII projects under development in parallel. While each of the four titles plays a different role, they are all connected through the high-quality representations of the world and characters of FINAL FANTASY VII. As someone who was involved in the development of each of the original titles, I deeply understand the vision and thoughts behind each project and am actively involved in the development process of all four titles.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH was designed so that people can enjoy this game regardless of whether they know the original game or not. In fact, new players may also enjoy starting their journey in FINAL FANTASY VII with FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH. Cloud and his friends embark on a new journey in this game and I believe that the scenes they will witness after they leave Midgar will give players a fresh and new experience. I can’t wait to share the intention to name the first title, “REMAKE” and the second title, “REBIRTH”. In time, I hope to reveal what the third title will be called and where this journey will ultimately lead.
The development of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH has progressed rapidly since we adopted a new development structure. A title of this magnitude where everything is interconnected even before production begins is truly rare. Indeed, some developments have already begun on the third title. I started development myself and am working towards the completion of the series.
We will work to deliver this title to fans with the same amount of enthusiasm from now until we reach the milestone. In the meantime, enjoy other 25th anniversary projects that further expand the world of FINAL FANTASY VII.

We have officially announced that the second FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH title will be released next winter, approximately three years after the original FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE released in April 2020. Three years may seem like a long time for any fan who is looking forward to the next game. , but we want to deliver the best possible experience and reassure everyone that development is proceeding at a surprisingly fast pace for a large-scale HD title. Being the central part of a trilogy has its own challenges, but there are plenty of classic second chapters in the world of cinema that are defined by incredible twists and deeper explorations of their characters. Often these second installments become fan favorites. Likewise, we aim to make FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH an even more compelling and memorable experience than FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, so please wait a little longer while we finish.
It looks like a nice game and it looks like fans will love it FFVII Rebirth when it launches on PS5 next winter. Next, we have the announcement of Crisis core. The original game launched in 2007 for PlayStation Portable and was quite fun. This remaster promises to be “a true remaster” with the original story following Zack Fair as he tries to find the missing SOLDIER Genesis Rhapsodos. This remake of the prequel game will launch this winter on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
