Four-time Oscar nominated actor Ethan Hawke (Training day, Childhood) spoke of his desire to be in a Star Wars films for several years now. It all started in 2014 during an appearance on Late night with Conan O’Brienwhen Hawke made a public appeal to join the galaxy far, far away before JJ Abrams’ release Star Wars: Episode VII – The awakening of the force. When that didn’t work, Hawke returned to Conan four years later and said he’d be more than happy to play a Jedi, a villain, or even a Wookiee, as long as that meant he could be playing a. Star Wars movie.
He praised the 2018 film, Solo: a Star Wars story, and said he was ready to audition for any party the executives saw fit. Still, nothing went together for the brilliant actor.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant in which he was promoting his recent film, The black phoneand he was asked about his desire for a Star Wars a role that has not yet been successful. He replied:
“Is not it fantastic? I mean, I made a tough public speech! I know, and I see all these great people in these things and I could have played that part. I could have played that part. I guess somebody up there doesn’t like me. “
Then he took a more optimistic stance, saying:
“I think they have something: What makes me feel best is that I think they have something really good in mind.
He went on to say how much he is enjoying the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and it looked like he still had high hopes for his future in the franchise. This year at the Star Wars Celebration, many new projects have been announced that you may have the opportunity to join, including Skeleton Crew, the Acolyte, future seasons of The Mandalorian, as well as the Landau series.
