The first trailer for director and screenwriter Ian Mukherjee’s new movie has been released. Brahmastra chapter one: Shivais a star-studded VFX opus or astraversion that marks the beginning of a trilogy in India’s first original cinematic world. Disney recently added the movie to its local release page on September 9 in the US and Canada. It will be played in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Canada in its own market and is one of the most expensive Bollywood works of all time. Disney operates globally.
It is directed by actors Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt.
The formation includes the Brahmins, a secret society that was created in ancient India and guarded from generation to generation innumerable divine “astras” (weapons) protected from the eyes of the world. Brahmastra, the most powerful and deadly of these divine weapons, now awakens and threatens to destroy the universe.
The first part of the planned trilogy is about Shiva (Kapoor), a young man who is on the verge of an epic love affair with Isha (Bhat). But his world is turned upside down when Shiva discovers that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmastra and possesses a great power that he does not yet understand: the power of fire.
