For over two decades, Read Rainbow It was a fixed point of childhood for countless children. It is a show that I grew up watching and I liked it. Hosted by the legendary Levar BurtonThe PBS series has not simply entertained, has triggered a love for life for reading. Now, the classic show is officially returning with a brand new host and there is also a trailer to look at.
Entering in the spotlight is Mychal ThreetsBetter known online as “Mychal the librarian”. A supporter of the public library and the Tiktok star, Threets built a passionate sequel by making exciting, comparable and welcoming books and reading.
While this time Burton will not return as a guest, the producers have clearly found someone who brings the same sincere enthusiasm for the narrative.
Judging by the announcement, the new series will remain faithful to the original formula. We even take a look at some of the guests of the celebrities who will stop, too Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) ,, John Legend, Adam DevineAND Gabrielle Union.
Of course, a big question lingers for fans: will the iconic themed music return? It is difficult to think Read Rainbow Without feeling those unforgettable words instantly, “Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice higher …”
The original series aired for the first time in 1983 and worked until 2006, helping generations of children to discover the joy of books. Just like Sesame StreetIt was a cultural milestone. With literacy rates that decrease among children today, this restart could not arrive at a better time.
We have not yet an exact release date, but apparently, much of the new season has already been shot. We hope that this new Reading Rainbow chapter will have a long race, inspiring an entire new generation to open a book and immerse yourself.
