Watch Francis Ford Coppola and Shia Labeouf Clash on the set of Megalopolis

A clip just released by the next documentary Megadoc reveals a frustrated exchange between the director Francis Ford Coppola and actor Shia Labeouf During the filming of Megalopolis. The moment offers a rare and not filtered look in the high -level tension behind one of the most ambitious cinematographic productions of recent memory.

Captured by the director Mike Figgisto which unprecedented access was granted to the Megalopolis Set, the video shows Labeouf who tries to block a scene with Jon Voight. Coppola appears visibly agitated by interference.

Megadoc is described as a “raw and steering wheel documentary on the ten -year journey of Francis Ford Coppola in the creation of his project of self -financed passion, Megalopolis”.

The film brings the audience in depth to the tentular creative process of the director, highlighting the risks, the setbacks and the pure determination involved in giving life to his dream project of 120 million dollars.

Directed by Mike Figgis, the documentary is built by test seminars, sincere films behind the scenes, archival material and interviews with cast and crew.

He reveals that the emotional, artistic and financial toll Coppola has endured over the years in search of the completion of Megalopolis, a project that has consumed decades of his life.

Megalopolis herself is an ambitious film that attracts thematic inspiration from the fall of the Roman Empire by offering political comments on modern society. According to the filmmakers, the documentary is more than a simple record of an intense film production, it is a book of personal memories that takes place in real time, while Coppola fights to create a vision that few others could conceive or perform.

The documentary also deepens the swivel door of the actors who united and have left the film over the years, as well as the philosophical weight that Coppola attributes to the story he is trying to tell. It is a portrait of an artist who fights time, budget constraints and creative conflict, all in the name of the inheritance.

Megadoc will present a raw and honest look at the price of visionary cinema. The documentary emphasizes that artistic greatness often comes with friction, sacrifice and an incessant research of something bigger than themselves

Megadoc will be released in cinemas on September 19, 2025 by the Indie Utopia distributor.
