The world of entertainment is in turmoil for the debut of Tilly Norwooda digital actress created by Eline Van der VeldenAfter the word has spread that talents agents were already turning to represent the artificial intelligence executor.

What was supposed to be an experiment of creativity quickly turned into a heated debate in Hollywood.

In a shared statement on Instagram and republished on behalf of Norwood, Van Der Velden defended his creation.

“For those who have expressed anger for the creation of my character of Ai, Tilly Norwood, it is not a substitute for a human being, but a creative work – a work of art.

“Like many art forms before her, it triggers the conversation and this in itself shows the power of creativity.”

He continued to frame the IA as another tool in the artist’s toolkit rather than a threat to the means of subsistence of the actors.

“I see not to replace people, but as a new tool, a new brush. Just as animation, puppet or CGI has opened new possibilities without taking away from live acting, Ai offers another way to imagine and build stories.

“I too am an actor, and nothing – certainly not a character of artificial intelligence – can remove the profession or the joy of human performance.”

Norwood is the first project of the studio to talent Xicoia, which has turned from Van Der Velden Particle 6 production company. During the Summit of Zurich, he revealed that the agents had already shown interest in signing the digital actress, with an official announcement scheduled soon.

That news did not go well with many in the community of acting. Social media were invaded by angry responses, parody account and acute comments from recognizable names.
