James Gunn confirms whether the David Corenswet’s Superman appears in season 2 of peace

Fans who hope to see David CorenswetSuperman come across Pacifier Season 2 is somehow disappointment. James Gunn He confirmed that the man of steel will not present himself in the series, even if the show moves to his great ending and prepares the stage for the next Man of tomorrow.

In episode 6 of Pacifier, Nicholas Hault Returning to Luthor, meeting Rick Flag Sr. in what seems the beginning of a dangerous alliance. This development is already indicating the main consequences in Man of tomorrowthat Gunn built carefully.

Before season 2 hit Hbo Max, Gunn made fun of a cameo “Really, really, very big”. While many fans hypothesized that this meant Superman himself, the director has now closed that theory.

Speaking with variety, Gunn said:

“No. In fact, David was very troubled by the fact that Nick had been on the show, and he didn’t work. He didn’t work.”

He continued to explain why Lex was essential for history:

“I needed Lex on the show to serve for a specific purpose. And in reality, what Lex and Rick Flag depend a lot to hit what happens in an appearance of Man of Tomorrow.

“So all this is connected. But this relationship between Rick Flag and Lex Luthor is a potentially negative thing for Superman and all meta-human.”

That teased clarifies that while Superman may not appear PacifierHis shadow loomed great for the show. Gunn has often referred Pacifier as prequel a Man of tomorrowAnd the arch of Lex this season was always designed to feed directly in the greatest history that Gunn has planned for the DCU.

He explained that this was part of his original tone when he assumed the role of DC Studios’ co-cer:

“Totally, yes. I didn’t know some things about it, but I knew what the general history of the DCU was. It was something I launched at [Warner Bros. Discovery CEO] David Zaslav even before taking the job.

“I am like, here is the story. There will be this film, this show, this film, this show and those things all adapt in different ways.”

Gunn added that while the surprises arrived along the road, like the addition of clay, the DCU general management remained intact:

“Some things came, like Clayface, that we didn’t expect, and other things have been a more difficult way for travel. But the general profile of that general story is what we are following through Superman, Peacemaker, Man of Tomorrow and Beyond.”

Even without Superman who flies for a cameo, the wider picture is clear. Gunn is lying down the connective tissue for his 10 -year -old DCU plan, with a peacemaker who serves as an important springboard towards the man of tomorrow.

With Brainiac who is said to have an important role in that film and the speculation that the center could be the villain of Dei and Monsters, the road to go seems enormous.

Six episodes of Pacifier Season 2 is now streaming on HBO Max, with two others to do before this chapter closes and the beginning of the next one.
