Alien: the creator of the earth Noah Hawley talks about future seasons and final configuration

The ending of Alien: earth He left the fans to speak and according to the creator of the series Noah HawleyThis is exactly how it was designed. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hawley opened the ending, how he balanced the narration of the season and how many other seasons he has already mapped.

Hawley confirmed that the story is far from over, saying: “The whole affair is a trial experiment of the concept to see if enough people on the planet want to watch an alien television show to justify second and third season expenses”.

While season 1 concluded great plots, it was not written to be definitive. Hawley explained: “This chapter is closed, but Yutani troops are landing. The balance of power has moved. These children have no idea what is coming”.

The ending ended with Wendy who bravely declared: “Now let’s govern”, a line that Hawley deliberately made to play with the expectations of the public.

He explained: “The last line of” now governs “is triumphant and edifying. But cut 10 minutes later … what will happen? So I like that he has that urgency in real time.”

One of the challenges of Alien: earth He was adapting the expansive narrative in just eight episodes instead of the usual ten of Hawley. He observed that the season had to carefully balance the time between the Crash, Neverland and the spaceship site.

The show also dug deep in its characters, especially Boy Kavalier. Hawley shed light on her mentality in the final, saying:

“The boy Kavalier has real anti-authoritarian issues from his father … over six to eight years have become rivals for these people. All the others are invested in maintaining a status quo. And it is an anarchist.”

He added that Kavalier’s reaction to Wendy’s declaration had perfect sense for his world view. “If you are Peter Pan and you want death for adults, how nice is it that children will govern now?”

As for where the series could go on, Hawley clarified that it is not blocked in a pre -established endpoint. “I don’t have a destination in mind. I don’t know how long it will take me to get there. As long as they let me tell stories in this tone of voice, I will tell stories in this tone of voice.”

For now, the fate of Alien: earth It depends on the fact that the show is renewed. Hawley admitted: “My hope is certainly in the next two months to get a sort of sign from them on the fact that I should find another job or go back to work”.

Regardless of the fact that we soon get a second season, it is clear that Hawley has more stories that he wants to tell in the alien universe.
