Netflix released a trailer for the documentary The perfect neighborWhich was previewed this year at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025, winning the directing of the Festival. The film was made by Geeta Gandbhir (A journey of a thousand miles: Peacekeeper, The County of LowDens and the road to the Black Power), who looks at a neighborhood through the police movies, in which a racist woman incessantly molested the children on her blockage by calling 911 every time they play or make noise. The situation intensifies towards a fever, resulting in a sort of explosion.
The synopsis reads: “A neighborhood dispute apparently minor in Florida intensifies in fatal violence. The videos of the police force and the investigative interviews exhibit the consequences of the” Stand Ground “laws of Florida.
“In a normal American neighborhood with families who live their life and the children playing with each other, a woman was fast to see any conflict as an attack that always required police attention. The annoying behaviors of a local” Karen “slowly prove to be something more dark and frightening.
“The director Geeta Gandbhir tells this only American story through the cunning presentation of videos found in real life that allows the circumstances to speak alone with terrifying clarity.”
This seems captivating and unnerving. I can’t wait to see how everything goes. Take a look at the trailer below and look The perfect neighbor In US theaters on 10 October, then on Netflix starting from October 17th.
