When Pacifier He rushed to the scene in Suicide Before shooting in his successful HBO series, the fans hugged each other John dinner in the role. But it was recently revealed that the writer-journalist James Gunn It originally created the part thinking about someone else. That someone was Dave BautistaAnd the actor recently explained why he had to transmit the role.
Speaking with the comic together with the director JJ Perry Speaking of their next film Afterburn, Bautista admitted that he had been Gunn’s first choice and who wanted to make him work. Unfortunately, the times have not aligned themselves.
“I must say that that. I really wanted to do that part. He (Gunn) wrote that part for me, and was designed for me, and it became a programming thing in which I could not do it, because I was doing Army of the Dead. And therefore it was a programming problem that we could not understand.”
While Bautista would have loved to wear the peace helmet, it is now grateful that it did not happen after seeing what dinner led to the character.
“And I think it was great. It was a blessing in bare mind that I did not, because I must say that I have to be honest, there is no way that I would have been able to make that role like John.
“It is perfect for this, you know, and I would not have made justice and would not have had the same success.”
He continued to add:
“So, look, and I am, I am saying that with a little envy, you know, I would like.
“It wouldn’t have been the same. It wouldn’t have been so good. I can honestly say that it would not have been so good.”
While Bautista was unable to play Peacemaker, he had a lot of other roles. Dinner could be the perfect solution for the wildest anti -hero of DC, but Bautista continues to carve out his own path with roles that push him into a new territory.
