Director Kevin Oeser Did he release a Funny Short comedy named after? Who sees a new dad try to “explain why he can’t go to Burning Man to a loser who has no children”.

The film is the protagonist Bob Turton Who offers an exaggerated monologue to his colleague Burner Avi Rothman, who has no children, on why he can no longer reach Playa.

He says to him: “I can’t go to Burning Man this year. Do I have a child now … how is paternity? What paternity is? … is it just that paternity is so beyond the description of someone who has no children … In a word, paternity is indescribable.

“But in many words, it is electrifying, terrifying, conquered by diseases.

Rothman’s character does not lose a beat, contrasting with pure burner optimism. Instead of taking the grandiose language of the father to heart, it simply suggests that the festival can come to him.

“Hey, friend. If you can’t go to Burning Man, the burning is coming to you. … Everything is possible with the burning. Come on, Daft Punk is playing the garbage fence.”

It is a great comic clash between self -consumed paternity and the adamant spirit of Burning Man, making the film Aclever and the fun entry into the growing list of Oeser shorts that parodys the eccentricity of modern life.
