Ryan Reynolds He knows how to tell a nice story, even when it is the final joke. During a recent career speech at the Toronto International Film Festival, following the premiere of his documentary John Candy: I like itThe actor shared a hilarious but humiliating moment from the 2012 thriller set Safe houseand involves accidental breakage Denzel WashingtonConcentration while in the area at the worst moment ever.
Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Safe house Retroded Reynolds with Washington while two agents forced an alliance with a high post -content while the mercenaries close. But according to Reynolds, the most tense moment of filming did not come from the action, it came from a ringtone.
Reynolds explained that they were shooting the emotional climax of the film in which Washington’s character is injured to death.
“They were struck, injured, dying, he admits all the things he hurt. The tears start rolling on the face. And suddenly feel – and this is two, by the way, because you take one there was a technical problem – we hear [Frank Sinatra singing] “Come and fly with me, we fly, flights away.”
That was the Reynolds ringtone and went during Washington’s great death scene.
The crew was furious and Washington himself broke the frustrated character. How do you remember Reynolds, “Who is F*CK’s phone?”
Instead of attending, Reynolds tried to deviate:
“I get up and look at all the stuntman around me, and I go, ‘Who is F*CK’s phone is unjustifiable!’
In the end the deputy director realized that the guilt party was Reynolds. Reynolds remembered, still laughing:
“Was it like ‘D, can you make another one?’ AND [Washington] It was like “we will have to do it, wasn’t it?” And I’m like ‘yes, [because of] Acrobatic men! Unforgivable!'”
Reynolds rethink him as an embarrassment self -influence.
“Dumb-dumb is sitting on his phone. I’m stupid in this story. And I can feel everyone looking around how, ‘What is happening the f*CK at this moment?’ I see Denzel with a tear in the eye.
Reynolds’ funny memory worthy of anger, and I wonder if in the end he told Washington. Or if Washington will find out in this recent interview.
