The actor Sinestro Ulrich Thomsen wraps the filming on the lanterns, shares farewell

DC Studios’ Lantern He is preparing to be one of the most anticipated projects in the renewed DCU and things are moving behind the scenes.

Ulrich ThomsenWhich interprets the iconic bad Sinestro, has officially enveloped the filming of his scenes for the imminent HBO Max series.

Thomsen revealed the news through Instagram, sharing a short but sincere message that suggests that this may not be the last time we see it with a yellow ring.

“Hello for now #Sinestro I will keep a part for later. We see the hope again,” he wrote.

LanternWhich began production in February 2025, will focus on the green lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Kyle Chandler steps in the role of Hal, while Aaron Pierre It gives life to John. The story dives into a dark mystery on the earth that entangles both lanterns while investigating a murder in the American heart.

According to the official synopsis: “The series follows the new recruit John Stewart and the legend of the lanterns Hal Jordan, two intergalactic policemen attracted in a dark and earth -based mystery while investigating a murder in the American heart”.

The series is co-scribed by Chris mundy, Damon LindelofAND Tom Kingwith the first two episodes directed by Hawes. All four creatives are also executive producers.

There is still no date of premiere confirmed for Lanternbut it is expected that it will hit HBO Max in 2026. It will join a growing series of DCU projects, including Pacifier Season 2 (coming soon), Supergirl (June 26, 2026), Clay (11 September 2026) e James Gunn’S Supermanwhich is currently playing in cinemas.
