Netflix has just dropped the first teaser for The monster of FlorenceA new series of Italian crime in four parts of the director Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Soldado day, Zerozerozero) And it seems chilling.
This is not your true average criminal drama while the series dives deep into one of the most disturbing serial killers investigations and extracted in the history of Italy.
Between the late 1960s and 1985, a murderer nicknamed “The Monster of Florence” terrified the countryside outside the city, targeting young couples in remote and wooded areas. Sixteen people were brutally murdered. The case remains unsolved to date, obscured by decades of conflicting theories, failed leads and public obsession.
In the series, instead of fixing on a single suspicion or a linear plot, the layers of an investigation full of uncertainty is detached. The show “explores the many possible monsters studied over time and also focuses on their point of view”.
The cast includes Marco Bullitta, Valentino Mannias, Francesca Olia, Liliana button, Giacomo Fadda, Antonio TintisAND Giordano Mannu.
If the teaser is something to do, The monster of Florence It promises a moody and atmospheric immersion in one of the most infamous cold cases in Europe.
