In a recent interview with Variety, legendary actor Gary Oldman Open on the next HBO Harry Potter TV series and has thrown a small desire for the magical world.
Although Oldman notoriously played Sirius Black in the original film Saga, he shared once again that there is another iconic figure of Hogwarts to whom he would not have sorry to enter.
“I would have imagined a blow to Dumbledore. But I’m getting up, I’m getting up there now. Only the right age for Dumbledore.”
This is not the first time he says. Oldman’s socket would certainly have brought a different energy to the heads of the principal. But that ship is already sailed while the series has officially launched John Lithgow Like Dumbledore. However, Oldman seemed more amused than disappointed, noting that he does not expect the showrunners to bring family faces back from the films.
Having said that, he can’t wait to do what the series could do with all the material that the films had to leave out. The actor recognized the numerous sub -trams of the books that have never reached the screen and seems honestly enthusiastic to see how the series appears.
And while Oldman will not return, HBO’s new interpretation on the world of magicians is not short of great talents. The cast also includes Nick Frost Like Hagrid, Janet McTeer Like McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu Like Snape and legend of the British comedy Paul Whitehouse like Filch.
Dominic McLaughlin Harry Potter will play, Arabella Stanton Like Hermione Granger, e Alastair Stout Like Ron Weasley.
HBO described the series as a “decade” project, with every season that adapted a book from JK Rowling’s bestseller series. “We are excited to explore every corner of the world of magicians, each season offers the new and existing public the opportunity to experience these beloved stories in a deeper way.”
