James Gunn’S Superman has introduced a range of new and interesting new DC heroes, but a character managed to steal the spotlight … Mr. Terrific, played by EDI Gathegi. Now, Gathegi has confirmed that his time in the DCU does not end soon.
In an interview with Variety, the actor revealed that he had signed a multi-project agreement when he joined the film.
“I know I have a multi-project agreement, but the details of this are unknown to me. What James is returning home is the idea that they will never rush into production with scripts that are not ready, so even anything have planned for my characters is irrelevant until the draft arrives and is spreadable.
“So they don’t count my chickens before they disgust. I want to be involved in this universe in an important way, and if this is concrete it is only a matter of time and faith and the hard work of other people.”
Mr. Terrific enters history as part of the band of justice together with Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) and Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), but in the end it becomes a crucial player.
Not only helps Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) Free Superman (David Corenswet) From Lex Luthor’s socket, but its technology, “t–t–t-pheres”, is essential to prevent the metropolis from being consumed by a black hole. He also had one of the best action scenes in the film!
And then there is that post-Credito Stinger. According to Gathegi, the tag was originally part of the main film before being moved to the end. He explained:
“This was originally in the film. I was not there for the decision-making process, but for me it is exciting because it is a promise. I don’t know if it is a promise that DC intends to do, but having that moment at the end of the film, for me personally, is the complete moment of the circle of having been killed quickly before the great battle in X-Men: first class to be the last man.”
He also revealed how he discovered the change: “The day of the premiere, I received a text message from James who said:” Uploaded down, just so to speak, some things are different and that scene is now the end. “
There is still no official word on where Gathegi’s Mr. Terrific will appear, but relationships suggest that a solo series is taken into consideration.
Even if this does not happen, it seems likely that the character will return to the superman sequel, or perhaps he will also play a more important role in the largest launch of the DCU.
Would you like to see an Mr. Terrific series or should a support player remain in the DCU?
