Marvel Studios is going all-in with its marketing for The Fantastic Four: First StepsAnd this is a rather interesting marketing campaign, since the study has dropped a series of magazines covers in the Universe with the first Marvel family that prepares the first pages of iconic publications such as Time, People and Men’s Health, and attention to detail is the next level.
The retro-fault aesthetic adapts perfectly to the tone inspired by the film of the 60s and each cover highlights a different side of the team. The weather highlights Reed Richards and his Storm in their double roles of scientists and heroes, while Johnny Storm leans on his person as a celebrity (complete with announcements for his “hot” after boat), and Ben Grimm is high while the reluctant star cannot stop talking.
But the campaign does not only concern the style, it is sprinkled with intelligent Easter eggs. Case in question: the film by People magazine on Herbie hides a thin nodded other than Dr. Doom with “Doom Detection”. Below you can see the screens of that.
I also included information under all the covers of magazines that have made the tour online on Doctor Doom, but if true, it is a spoiler territory. So, read at your own risk.
For now, these magazines covers give fans a peek on how Marvel is dealing with the Fantastic Four as a celebrity within their universe. It is an intelligent way to build a clamor while remaining faithful to the spirit of the comics.
What do you think of marketing in the Marvel universe?

Possible spoilers in front.
According to the recent losses of the plot, Doom does not actually show up during the main film, at least not directly. The biggest clue in his presence? A reference to Latveria. But then there is the post-cried scene, which according to what reports goes around Doom around:
“His is reading a book to Franklin. He gets up to take another. In the background, we hear the sound of an active teleportation device. Bring an unconscious Franklin.”
It seems intense and prepares the stage for Avengers: Doomsday AND Secret warswhere Downey Jr.’s fate should play an important role.
