Disney has released a first glance at a new attraction coming to Disneyland Park which will be a show similar to “great moments with Mr. Lincoln”, but this will present Walt Disney himself and the Animatronic they have created is rather incredible.
The show uses archival vocal recordings to make Walt tell his story to guests with his own words. The figure herself is modeled on how Walt Disney would have appeared in 1963. This time in her life she was chosen due to the numerous exciting projects she had in development at that point, including “Mary Poppins”, the 1964 New York World Fair and planning for Walt Disney World and Epcot.
The new show will open to all guests at the end of this week, Thursday 17 July – the date of the 70th anniversary for Disneyland. It was announced for the first time at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024 and was previously scheduled to open on May 16, but was delayed by two months.
