“I went up to the electric trolley, without telling anyone, and I made myself sneaked behind the trams so that no one could see me and I simply made myself sneak into the boat and sat in the cabin in that small hairstyle and I sat down there and sometimes I was crying.”

It might seem strange from man whose film has changed the industry forever. But Jaw He was an exhausting ordeal to be taken. Make failures of mechanical sharks, a ruthless shot and an excessive nightmare and on the patterns that the young director feared for his career. He left scars that did not disappear easily. He added:

“I had nothing to cry for. The film was this phenomenon, and I am sitting here to pour tears because I am unable to give in to the experience. The boat helped me to start forgetting. That orca was my therapeutic partner for several years after the jaws have come out.”

It is a very personal revelation, which reformulates the way we see not only creation JawBut Spielberg himself. He did not crogue in the glory of a success. He was still emotionally linked to a project that almost broke him. For a while, the Orca was not a stage object or set. It was a quiet place where he could elaborate everything.

Unfortunately, the original Orca did not last forever. The elements finally wore it and had to be removed from the backlot. A replica is located in its place today, but now, knowing what the original boat for Spielberg meant, it seems that that point on the tour contains a different type of history.
