In James GunnIt is coming SupermanWe have the strongest man alive, the most dangerous bad in the world and, second EDI GathegiThe smartest boy in the room and is not particularly impressed by either of them.
While the trailers have already made fun of a little tension within the new “Justice Gang” based in Metropolis, Gathegi is clearly clear that his version of Mister Terrific has strata, and not everyone plays well with the idealism of Clark Kent.
Gathegi said during an interview on the set with Comicbook.
“Superman thinks that Mr. Terrific is his best friend. It’s not true. [Mister Terrific] Do you think it’s a grass. They are brothers in fighting crime. They are brothers in being heroes. But they don’t have much in common. “
David CorenswetThe Superman could be the heart, e Nicholas HaultLex Lothor threats her, but Mr. Terrific, aka Michael Holt, is all focused on the brain. In comics, Holt is in Polymath, an Olympic athlete and the founder of a cyberwear empire. And in this version of Superman, it is also … a little irritable.
“Our version of Mister Terrific is a little more complex in the sense that he is fighting other demons who comb. So it’s a little grumpy in this film”,
That grumpy also presents itself in the movie, as in a moment from the trailer, in which a tired Superman shouts, “stop joking”, only for the overs who murmur weakly, “I’m doing important things”.
Despite that little playful friction, Mister Terrific seems to be a key player in the battle against Lex Luthor and his dangerous new alliances, including Ultraman and Engineer. When it comes to a battle of ingenuity between Holt and Luthor, Gathegi makes fun of there is a real reckoning of the accounts behind the action.
“In a sense, there is a battle of brains. It’s a genius, and if you want to know who wins this battle, you have to watch the film.”
Mister Terrific is bringing his complicated energy, a good dose of accumulated and perhaps the most intelligent moves in the film. Just don’t expect it to start exchange of friendship bracelets with Superman at any time soon.
