Steven Spielberg I just pulled the curtain slightly on his next science fiction film, but don’t expect answers yet.
Last week at the great Commons structure of Universal Pictures, Spielberg presented the new 250 -seater Steven Spielberg Theater and, to celebrate the opportunity, he treated guests the first video of his most secreted film, and certainly leans on his UFO roots, but is still able to guess the complete story actually.
Reports say that the video has been carefully cared for to give enough to arouse excitement without revealing anything concrete. The scenes were moody, mysterious and rooted, offering glimpses in a larger science fiction narration that is held strictly under the compresses.
The movie “did not confirm an alien theme, even if many threatening figures in black car unanswells have been seen to chase Contunde (who appeared in different scenes as a woman in a rural area).
“In a sequence with Josh O’ConnorThe Blunt broken sedan collides with a running train. She and O’Connor try an escape route through the broken windshield while the vehicle is chewed between metal and tracks.
“Eve Hewson AND Coleman DomingoThe characters have not been clearly defined in the movie, even if they are at the end of a game of cat and mouse that explodes through the agricultural houses and terrifies pedestrians.
“If we had to put money on it, Colin Firth It is our villain. The winner of the Oscar seems to be left and suitable as a leader in a sort of underground work space (one reminiscent of a NASA control room and the like). “
The images and the tone triggered the speculation that the film could be a spiritual successor And OR Close meetings of the third typeBut nothing is confirmed.
During the event, Spielberg stressed that he was not intended to retire. Writer David KoeppWho wrote several Spielberg films, including Jurassic Park AND War of the WorldsHe had this to say about their latest collaboration:
“What does so brilliantly is that it combines a vast show with a truly honest and human emotion. Unlike, I think, any other director – is a very emotional experience, this film.”
“He was the most involved as he was in any film I wrote for him to direct.”
For now, we do not yet know the title or plot of the film, but Spielberg’s track record, the cast and the first teaser suggest that we are in something great, strange and deeply human.
Universal Pictures will publish the film on June 12, 2026.
