Superman director James Gunn He shared a new photo of the DC movie that gave the fans a look at Ultraman, and the first thing I thought when I saw is that he looked like a Tuscan Star Wars raider.
We still do not know who or what it is below the mask, but many fans have underlined the similarities with the doomsday containment suit in the comics.
Even if I don’t think it’s the day of judgment, Gunn could follow something by sharing this specific shot. I also want to emphasize that we can see Ultraman’s neck in the image and it seems to be human.
Gunn was asked about Ultraman in a recent interview and, when he pushed if the mysterious villain is part of Lex Luthor’s attempt to create a “type of superman figure”, he replied, “he is close. Yes, I think he is close. Ultra Man is a kind of Lex Thug and is quite powerful.”
The director also confirmed that Hammer of Boravia, that some fans believe is ultraman in mind, has ties with Lightcorp. “Yes, totally. Lex is connected to everything. There is nothing bad in Metropolis during this film that has no connection with Lex Luthor.”
Superman It is “set in a world very different from ours and far from the DCEU. The heroes have been in circulation for years and we will see how it has influenced the history of this world and has shaped the DCU”.
