Before X-Men ’97 Previewed with critical consent and fans, creator Beau Demayo It had already been removed from the series. Although still accredited as a writer in season 2, his exact contributions remain uncertain and now we have a better idea of what his vision has led to.
In a series of posts, Demayo destroyed his original concept for season 2, offering fans a mockery in a darker and more politically more politically for the X-Men chapter. It included mutant militias, time trips and a large showdown to Washington DC Demayo wrote:
“So, I’m curious to know what remains in the 2 #XMEN97 season when it comes to new X-Men costumes. My intention to use the uniforms of Grant Morrison and Frank silently was this:
“In My Version of Season 2, E-Day Leads to Mutant Task Forces Like The X-Men Being Banned In the US and So Xavier-Eager to Find the Next Step in His Dream As Rival Groups X-Force and X-Factor Spring up While The X-Men Are Scarful Thruch Time-Founds X-Corp, Building The Tower From The Comics On The Ruins of Genosha As a Challenge to Val Cooper and the A Since X-Force Wound Now Outside Outside of a jurisdiction.
Demayo saw season 2 as a radical evolution of Charles Xavier’s vision, which is twisted by the darker forces. He added:
“For me, the drawings of silence felt more militant and this is something that I intended to explore in season 2 while Xavier starts to militarize his dream, removing them from being heroes, with the final revelation in the final of S2 (which was cut) that was an assault that was slowly arousing Xavier’s control that made him challenge the United Nations, to start X-Corp.”
Demayo was laying the foundations for one of the most dangerous bad guys in the story of X-Men to make a surprise return. His plan would have culminated in a huge final act:
“When the X-Men realizes this, and onslaught proves to be at the end of episode 9, they wear their classic costumes of the 90s again and return to being heroes while they guide the avengers, the X factor X and X-Force against the Ossalus while stealing the ship (Oge).
It would have been a climax that swept Via Universe worthy of the X-Men arches. But with Demayo no longer steering the ship, it is not clear how (if present) this will arrive in the final cut of season 2.
Marvel has not announced a release date for the new season, but the expectations are high. It remains to be seen even if we also have a shadow of this assault span, but fans will certainly look closely.
So, I’m curious to know what remains #XMEN97 Season 2 when it comes to new X-Men costumes.
My intention to use the uniforms of Grant Morrison and Frank in silence was this:
