Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters) has signed to act in the imminent Amazon Mgm Studios film that will be directed by Ron Howard. The director will tell a new story of firefighters over thirty years after his film Backraft (1991) became a classic.
The story is based on a tone of Christina Hodsonwhose script follows several childhood friends, now elite firefighters, who have to rekindle their fractured relationship when a series of fatal fires crosses Texas. Hodson will also produce the film.
Powell received a Nom Golden Globe in the best musical/comedy actor for the Netflix comedy Cing. It will be the next star of the long -awaited series Chad powerswho also has co-creating and co-scored, and will soon recite Edgar Wright’s The man running For Paramount Pictures, which should be released on November 7th.
THE Top Gun: Maverick Star also recently enveloped the production on the revenge thriller Huntingtonand is currently in production JJ Abrams’ Imminent film for Warner Bros.
