Netflix has just dropped the teaser trailer for The diplomat Season 3 and the Oval Office has a new tenant with the arrival of Allison Janney.
By collecting right from where the political chaos of season 2 had stopped, the new season launches the ambassador transformed into a power player Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) in even deeper waters.
Last season he ended with President Rayburn dying a few moments after Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell) tells him that the vice -president Grace Penn (Janney) may have orchestrated a terrorist attack on a British war ship. Now that Rayburn is out of the photo, Penn is not only suspected, he is responsible.
According to the official synopsis, “Kate accuses Penn of hatching a terrorist plot and admitting that he is after the vice -president’s work. But now the president died, Hal may have inadvertently killed him, and Penn is the leader of the free world. None of these slows down the Hal campaign to land Kate the vice -president.

I love the fact that Janney and Whitford returned together after their time together The west wing. The series is also the protagonist Wings ahn, Rory KinnearAND ATO Essandoh. The new faces include Celia Imrie, Michael McKean, Nana MensahAND Miguel Sandoval.
