Universal Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for Scott DerricksonHorror movies Black Phone 2and sees the return of Ethan HawkeThe evil character The Grabber, who is obsessive Finney (Tamigi Mason) and Gwen (Madeleine Mcgraw) from beyond the tomb.
It seems that it will be a rather disturbing sequel. I loved the first film and I’m thrilled to see how the next chapter of this story takes place!
The director previously described the film as “A high school maturity film in the same way that the first film was a film for the junction of middle school”.
The creator of history, Joe HillHe said: “There were some really excellent conversations on a sequel. And it is, as soon as I saw the mask, which was designed by Tom Savini and Jason Baker, as soon as I saw the mask I thought: ‘If this film is a success, there will be a sequel,’ because the mask is so iconic.
“It’s like Freddy Krueger’s glove, it’s like Michael Myers’s mask, this is this where the images are, iconic images, which persecute people’s sleep.
“And, look, with horror, guys like Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger, and Frankenstein and Dracula, none of these guys remain buried. Everyone moves away from the tomb for a sequel and then a trequel.”
He continued, “there were speeches on how to make a sequel that would not have sucks. How to make a sequel that does not straighten the film that came before, is still frightening, still intense, which seems organic.
“And those conversations were quite good. But if I had to provide details, Scott and [writer C. Robert] Cargill He closed me in the basement in the film, and that’s it.
“And the phone does not work. As you know, the phone doesn’t work. I can’t call anyone to go out. So I would refuse to offer real granular details on the possible sequel.”
The black phone 2 In cinemas on October 17, 2025.
