Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps gets a new clip and TV commercials

Marvel has just dropped a new clip and a couple of tie-in TV commercials for The Fantastic Four: First Steps Promote the finals of the NBA Western Conference. The retro-trafficking tone that I love the film is in the center and in the center.

The clip sees Reed Richards, his Storm and Johnny Storm in an elevator that goes to the top of the Baxter building, where Ben Grimm and Herbie are preparing dinner. Johnny is anxious to catch the start of the game and consider “flaming on” to fly forward.

We already knew that the first steps would take us to an alternative version of the 60s, a world in which technology has advanced well as well as our modern world, but it still seems and feels like the era of space.

That mixture of retro optimism and BIF Futurism is what gives this film its unique impulse, and the last television spot relies on that aesthetics. We also have a jump blow by Ben Grimm Intt the car seat.

Much of the progress of this universe is thanks to Reed Richards, Aka Mr. Fantastic whose amazing technology, according to reports, has remodeled the course of human evolution in this time sequence.

The director Matt Shakman recently described the visual approach of the film as “a mixture of the vibrant vibrant art of Jack Kirby and the epic and otherworldly vision of Stanley Kubrick”. This gives us a good idea of the creative ambition behind this. It is cosmic, colorful, and it is bold in a way that looks like a fresh shock for the Marvel formula.

“According to the vibrant background of a retro world inspired by the 1960s, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces the first Marvel-Reed Richards family/Mister Fantastic, his Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing-How face their most phalloid challenge still.

“Built to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend the earth from a ravenous god called Galactus (Ralph inexion) and his enigmatic herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus has planned to devour the entire planet and everyone on it are not quite bad, suddenly it becomes very personal.”

Directed by Wandavision‘S Matt ShakmanThe film boasts a high profile cast led by Pedro Pascal (Cane), Vanessa Kirby (Sue), Joseph Quinn (Johnny), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben), with a support training that includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Paul Walter HauserAND Sarah Niles In roles still to be reviewed.

The script was originally written by Jeff Kaplan AND Ian Springerwas revised by Cameron Flipion AND Avatar: the water of the water co-writer Josh Friedmanwith Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) giving him the final passage.
