The retro trailer of this week is for the classic horror film of the 1982 anthology Creepshow directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen Kingpaying homage to the horror comics of the CE of the 1950s.

The film is structured as a comic that comes to life, with five distinct and macabre stories, each imbued with dark humor, supernatural justice and gruesome consequences.

The segments go to a vindictive father who rises from the tomb in the “Father’s Day”, to a meteorite who transforms a lonely man into a monstrosity covered with musk into “The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill”, played by the same king.

Other stories include a cuckolded man looking for revenge with an aqueous turning point, a mysterious case that hosts a ravenous creature and a wealthy imprisonment that fights cockroaches in a sterile penthouse.

Framed by an enveloping story of a guy punished for reading horror comics, Creepshow Use transitions of the comic panel, animated effects and exaggerated colors to evoke its pulp roots.
