Shawshank’s redemption It is easily one of my favorite films of all time and until recently I have never seen films behind the scenes of the making of the film, and it is so interesting and fascinating to watch!
In addition to the filming of the production of the film, I also included a funny video with the cast and the crew that spoke of how nobody knew how to market the film and how nobody went to watch it when it was published for the first time in cinemas.
Shawshank’s redemptionwas directed by Frank Darabont and was based on a novel of Stephen King. He tells the powerful story of Andy Dufresne, a banker mistakenly condemned for killing his wife and lover. Sentenced to life imprisonment in the Shawshank prison, Andy forms a link with his partner detained Ellis “Red” Redding.
Over the course of two decades, Andy transforms prison in silence from the inside, using his intelligence to help the guardian recycling money as he secretly planned his escape. His latest breakout and the revelation of the guardian corruption lead to a cathartic ending, with Red at the end that finds hope and freedom outside.
Despite his now legal status, the film fought at his initial release in 1994. He gained critical praise but was a disappointment at the box office, collecting only $ 16 million during his initial race. The title was also considered a factor in its failure, as it did not clearly transmit history or tone, and the public was not familiar with the short story on which it was based.
However, Shawshank’s redemption I found New Life after being appointed for Seven Academy Awards, including the best film. His real rebirth came through home video rentals and frequent transmitted cable TV, in particular on TNT, where he became a firm point.
