Cowabunga, pizza lovers! If your childhood presented evenings for pizza, cartoons marathons and citing “Heroes in a half shell!” At the table, you may have to have a debt of gratitude with four habitual mutants and their love for a hot slice.
Weird History Food’s latest video dives in depth in one of the most nostalgic Tag-Team of the 90s-Ninja Ninja Mutant Teen Mutants And Pizza Capanna. It is not just about advertising commercials or collectibles. This partnership has helped Pizza Hut to ride the wave of the boom in the delivery of the pizza and survive.
Turtles have not simply made the pizza look like, they made it cold. That they were the animated series, toys and films, pizza was part of the brand of the brand and pizza Hut knew exactly how to ride that wave.
They slapped their logo on everything, from the tapes of cassette and VHS tributes to the sponsorships of the tour, essentially transforming TMNT into walking, talking about pizza vendors.
As the description of the video says, “the turtles ninja teen mutants have kicked their butt and crackin ‘since their humble beginnings as comics crusaders in 1983. They are cool, rude and, of course, love pizza.
“The heroes in the ghottconcino are as synonymous with pizza as I am with the fight against Shredder, which lead to some rather memorable promotions with the pizza hut, both old and recent. In fact, it is right to say that the boom in the delivery of the pizza of the 80s and 90s owes a lot to these radical reptiles”.
Let’s not forget that the hood sponsor the notorious Leaving their shells Tour, a wild stage show in which the turtles wore bordered jeans vests and sang songs such as “Pizza Power” to scream children throughout America. The brand even produced a Pizza Tour Booklet and distributed free promotional boxes basically print free marketing with each peppers cake.
These promotions have not simply increased the visibility of pizza Hut, they incorporated the brand into the life of an entire generation of children. When turtles said that pizza was the fuel of heroes, the children implored their parents to order and pizza Hut was there, warm and ready.
