Al Pacino joins Bobby Moresco Directed Maserati: The Brothers

Awinner Academy Award Al Pacino (The godfather, Afternoon for the dog’s day, Hunters) joined the cast of the next film, Maserati: the brothersthe biographical film directed by Bobby Moresco Information on the family behind high performance cars which, together with Ferrari and Lamborghini, is known in Italy.

In Maserati Pacino will play the businessman Vincenzo Vaccaro, who supported the Maserati family and invested in the first days of the company. Also combined with the cast of the film forced to stars are Gina La Piana (Intentional) AND Tatiana Lter (Rudy Valentino).

Previously announced Maserati Cast members include Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia, Jessica Abla, Michele Morrone AND Salvatore Esposito.

Maserati was founded in 1914 in a garage in the Italian central city of Bologna by three brothers: Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto. The trident which is the emblem of the company is a reply of that found in the Nettuno fountain in Bologna.

From the beginning, the company – which is now known for exotic luxury cars – was linked to the world of car racing. The first racing car of the Maserati Grand Prix, called “Type 26”, is the vehicle that Alfieri Maserati was driving in the 1927 Messina Cup race when he had an almost fatal accident.

Alfieri died a few years later, on March 3, 1932, at the age of 44 for complications related to this accident. In 1937, the brothers, although remaining involved, sell a control participation in the company which is now owned by Fiat.

The second and last phase of the filming of “Maserati” will begin in June in Rome. The film is scheduled for a world premiere at the beginning of autumn 2025.
