Daredevil: born again Season 2 is starting to look like a full -blown political thriller and actor Lili Taylor I have just dropped some interesting details on his new role and on the biggest story at stake.
Speaking with the rural intelligence of his new book Addressing the birds: the power and beauty of the noteTaylor randomly confirmed his role in the series, saying: “I am the governor, which is fantastic”.
This aligns with the speculations of the end of season 1, in which Commissioner Gallo sought (and failed) to reach the Governor of New York after the mayor Wilson Fisk declared the martial law. If you looked at the series, then you know why that call has not passed.
Taylor developed production, saying:
“I know Albany, and I know politics there. We have a set inside, and then we made the outside in this really nice place in Tarrytown: that was the house of the governor.”
Taylor continued to describe the tone of the show under the showrunner Dario Scardapane, saying:
“It is a television show in New York. The places are very familiar with me. Even more important, the people I am working with – Dario [Scardapane] the Creator, the healthy producer [Amanat]And wins D’Onofrio – they really take care of what they are doing. So it doesn’t seem like this great business thing. It seems that we are telling a story that matters. “
With Kingpin pushes New York to an authoritarian regime and triggering his anti-Vigilante task force, it makes sense that the governor emerged as a key player.
Taylor did not enter the details of the plot, but mentioned the deepest themes of the show:
“They are creating something significant. And the show deals with many current things: power, authoritarianism.”
So, while Daredevil may not argue in court this time, the battle seems to be heading straight in government halls.
The question is now: to what extent FISK will keep his grip on the city and the governor of Taylor can reject before New York fully becomes his personal kingdom?
