New art poster and confirmed name of the new Jurassic World Rebirth dinosaur

Empire Magazine has released the works of art that will embellish the cover of their next issue and presents a new mortal dinosaur from the next sequel, Jurassic World Rebirthwhich is confirmed to be identified as Distortus Rex.

This thing seems to be leaving directly from Alien Franchising, more than the Jurassic one, but I imagine that while scientists continue to experiment and make new breeds, disturbing things can happen.

The film is the protagonist Scarlett Johansson Like Zora Bennett, Jonathan Bailey Like Dr. Henry Loomis, e Maershala ali Like Duncan Kincaid.

It is directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, the Creator), from a script of Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp. They say it is only the beginning of a brand new story that hope to tell over multiple films. The director previously said:

“I can’t speak for Universal, but it seemed to me a new trilogy, in a certain sense. I am not sure of their plans, but it seemed to me the beginning of a new chapter in this franchise.”

He continued by saying that the film is “a gigantic love letter to Steven Spielberg and his previous films. There are moments in this film that remind me of jaws. It is like small blows bigger than all those aspects of his films that I liked to grow up as a child. It is essentially a little hate, a small story of survival, a story of survival, really.”

The film is set five years after the events of Domain“In which the dinosaurs have mixed with humans all over the world, these creatures are now extinguishing. Today’s planet has proved to be inhospitable to the prehistoric genre, with the exception of a small region in the tropics around the equator, where many of them get together.”

Universal Pictures will publish the film in cinemas on July 2, 2025. Take a look at the new art below, by @timdrawsinink, and let us know if you can’t wait for this film!
