Jenna Ortega is ready to direct the film she has been writing since she was a child: “I see it alone”

After years of breachout performances from horror films to the main Netflix Wednesday, Jenna Ortega Now he is putting his eyes on the director’s chair, with a project he has been building for almost a decade.

Ortega revealed in a recent conversation with V Magazine: “I have a script that I learned that I would have done for almost 10 years. It is strange because it is something I thought about when I was younger and when I started in this field, and it is only now that I am actually starting to take the steps to make it, which is really interesting.

He added: “I’m just putting together the pieces of the puzzle in my head. So I think I need a few years to understand the order to do things”.

Ortega says that this particular project affects near home, and while it is open to recite in it, its real attention is the direction. He said:

“This in particular, I see myself in it, but I really want to direct. This is probably the main thing I want to do. I see it alone. I feel that it is only the way my brain wants to work and think, and this is how I sometimes see my acting.”

Even if he has not yet directed, Ortega is not exactly new to model creative projects from behind the scenes. Recently made its debut as an A24 executive manufacturer Death of a unicornin which he also recited, and is ready to produce and guide in both Trey Edward Shults Hurry up tomorrow and the next season of Wednesday.

But looking forward, Ortega’s goal is to gradually move from the reflector completely.

“I don’t want to be in the things I create in the future, but starting, because I created more leverage for me with a name as an actor, I could also use it as a launching pad.”

It is clear that Ortega is creating a long -term vision for herself, and it will be interesting to see how it does as a director when he decides to enter that role.
