And now, thanks to a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Garner has opened some of what is the next one … even if Marvel’s notorious secrecy still has mostly sealed lips.
When asked about his future in the MCU, Garner admitted that he is in the dark as the rest of us.
“Oh my God, I would like to be able to answer this question, but I don’t have an answer, honestly. I was just happy to be part of this film. But we’ll see.”
Having said that, it is a game moreover, especially if this means putting an autonomous silver surfer project in the lead.
“A hundred percent, I would like to do it. The silver surfist is such a beautiful character and I feel so rare to be presented with any type of mystery in these days.
“So any type of energy like the one on the screen, I know I want to see it, so it would be great if this happened.”
Marvel fans had their first look at his version of The Cosmic Herald in the recent trailer of the film in which Garner’s Silver Surfer makes an elegant and interesting entrance.
While some have questioned the casting, hardcore comic readers recognized deep inspiration. In the alternative Marvel reality of the earth-9997, it is Shalla-Bal, a lover of Norrin Radd, who becomes the Herald of Galactus instead of him. I’m sure this film will mix things with the origin a bit.
As for what will come later, this is the assumption of anyone. Garner’s co-protagonists Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph QuinnAND Ebon Moss-Bachrach are already confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday. Garner, however, has not yet been announced ….
The wonder could keep that card near the jacket to avoid ruining how The Fantastic Four: First Steps It takes place. But there are many fantastic and fantastic stories to tell with the character.
For now, we will have to wait as Silver Surfer’s path will be sculpted in the MCU.
