James Gunn reveals the new look to Jimmy Olsen of Skyler Gisondo in Superman and praises his performance

James Gunn I just dropped a photo behind the scenes from the set of Supermanand gives fans a new look Skyler Gisondo Like Jimmy Olsen, and is set within the iconic newsroom of the Daily Planet.

Gunn shared the image on social media to celebrate Jimmy Olsen’s anniversary, marking the debut of the character in The adventures of Superman Radio Serial until April 15, 1940.

In the post, it is located next to Gisondo, which is fully in costume as an enthusiastic photographer of the daily planet. If the photo is something to do, Gisondo seems to nail the classic atmosphere of Jimmy Olsen, with a touch of embarrassing charm, energy with the eyes wide open and quite stupidity to make it adorable.

The director’s caption offered the actor to say: “Happy Anniversary of Jimmy Olsen, who appeared for the first time on the adventures of Superman Radio Serial on April 15, 1940. Here I am on the set of Superman with Skyler Gisondo who plays Jimmy in the film – and who is absolutely incredible in the role.”

It’s nice to see Gunn give this character more a reflector than we have seen in past films. And if the voices are true, it has some unexpected plans for Jimmy who will really shake things.

Superman He will tell the story of the “Superman journey to reconcile his Kryptonian inheritance with his human education as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas.

“It is the incarnation of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as an old style.

“It is set in a world very different from ours and far from the DCEU. The heroes have been in circulation for years and we will see how it has influenced the history of this world and has shaped the DCU.”

Superman He will launch the film part of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. It is scheduled for a theatrical version on 11 July 2025.
