Director Mark Watersbetter known for Bad girls AND Strange FridayHe is immersing himself in a story with a very different flavor, HersheyA live action film about the man behind one of the most loved imperials in chocolate in the world.
FINN WITTROCK (Ratched, History of American horror) will be the protagonist as Milton Hershey, with Alexandra Daddario (The white lotus) by interpreting his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Hershey.
Filming begin in May through Pennsylvania, the state that has become the heart of the Hershey brand. Although the film does not yet have a distributor, it aims at a 2026 release coinciding with the United States Semiquincentennial, which is the 250th anniversary of the country.
The film will explore the philanthropic foundation that the Hersheys have built together with their chocolate empire. In 1909, the couple founded the Hershey Industrial School, now Milton Hershey School, offering education and free accommodation for needy children.
Years before his death, Milton transferred most of his wealth to school trust, which was a move that helped create one of the greatest educational equipment in the United States
Waters shared some intuitions to history, saying: “Against all forecasts, Milton has achieved great success, but unlike many other men rich in his time, he shared his success with the workers and the community that surrounded him.
“The core of” Hershey “, the film will be the special love story between Milton and Catherine Hershey, who inspired his greatest inheritance – the creation of Milton Hershey School.

The project comes from Dandelion Media, in collaboration with Hershey Entities and in association with Aloe Entertainment, Peachtree Group and RCM3. Uta is managing rights all over the world.
