A photo behind the scenes recently emerged from Captain America: Brave New World He is going around online and offers a look at a version of the leader who has never arrived on the big screen.
This unused aspect was more accurate comic, complete of the Craniium Oversize of the character, and is very different from what we got in the final cut of the film. The photo seems to show a test bust on the character’s set.
Marvel fans had a lot to say about the large filming of the film and on the drastic changes, above all since it is expected that it is classified among the items at the bottom of the MCU. And while it is easy to assume that Marvel has lost his grip on this, there is clearly more in the story behind the main pivot of the film.
In particular, the first promotional materials, including the concept art and the pop funko figures, had already mentioned a very different version of the leader. That previous design was much closer to its comic roots, but in the end it was exchanged with a more rooted and distorted version.
Director Julius Onah shed light on change in a post-rilacio interview with Varietyexplaining the decision to lead the character in a more emotionally resonant direction:
“When you think about the arch of his character and the humanity that was taken away, there is a monstrosity for him, and I really wanted to lean on that, so when you see him, you understand what is pushing him as a character and his desire for punishment.”
“We started with a completely practical version of it. You still see a lot of that practical work, in terms of prostheses and painting this type. It was fantastic for Tim, because it is very engaging in terms of what he likes to do as an interpreter.”
“And then when we put it together in the film, I wanted to push it further, to make sure that jump could arrive [over] On the screen “, continued Onah.” So we improved with the visual effects, just to push him to that edge of something that is hoped was not too discouraging, but again, he helped you emotionally understand what was guiding him. “
According to relationships, the leader’s role was originally much more important, presumably guiding the creation of the company to snake and served as a central mind. It is a shame not to be able to see that version of the story.
