Masters of the Universe Cineacon’s movies reveal the designs of accurate characters of the cartoons

While at Cinemacon we had a surprise explosion of He-Man’s nostalgia when Amazon MGM Studios revealed the first movies by his imminent Masters of the Universe Movies.

A look behind the scenes of the film was shared at the event and made fun of the tone, appearance and director of Scala Travis Knight. The film seems its goal of being the definitive live version of the franchise and was sufficient to arouse excitement, especially for the long -standing fans of the franchise.

The sideways showed practical sets, vibrant costumes and main actor Nicholas Galitzine Entering Full-on He-Man mode. A particular shot sees Galitzine in the iconic costume and show off the unmistakable haircut.

And yes, the classic line “of The Power of Grayskull!” He played through the room. The preview behind the scenes showed some heavy world buildings, with sets that according to what reported, they recreate key places from Eternia.

All the characters including Teela, Man-AT-ARMS, Skeletor, Lockjaw, Goat-Man and others have left the series of cartoons of the 80s! They were brought to life with customs and drawings of surprisingly faithful characters.

The sets are enormous and the film will found a practical design with VFX to capture the fantasy aspect of Eternia.

A moment behind the scenes showed the iconic He-Man sword while the director Travis Knight reflected on its childish connection with toys, sharing its love for Masters of the Universe dates back to “practically [his] All life, “adding that” has lived and breathed “the story (reaching the point of shaking the He-Man haircut for a while).

We also capture flashes of Camila Mendes Making acrobatics, galitzine in full -time mode and Skeletor’s Skeletor of Jared Leto with hood, huge and blue skin, even if his face remains hidden for now.

The movie ends with a stroke of hair of He-Man blowing in the wind as in a shampoo spot.

Manufacturer Jason Blumenthal summarized the ambition behind the project: “It is the rebirth of this incredible world … The scale is enormous. We are not making a cartoon here, we are making a live action fantasy film”.

That scale seems legitimate. Among the huge sets and attention to details in the costumes and stage objects. But a large part of the film will still be set on Earth, which I still think is a big mistake.

It is too early to judge the film, but if what has been shown is any indication, Masters of the Universe You prepare, at least, be visually fresh. It seems that a genuine effort is made to create He-Man and his world in a way that respects the original material, but we will have to wait and see.
