Parmount Pictures has shown the trailer of FIRS for the director Edgar Wright AND Glen PowellAdaptation of Stephen King’S The man running At the cinemacon!
I was very curious about this film and how Wright would actually give life to this classic King story. We will have seen filmed by the film, it seems that it has managed to make an extraordinary film! I was so excited to look at him because he will offer a good cinematographic experience!

The man running It is a dystopian story set in a future society in which the government controls everything, the story follows Ben Richards, a desperate and depleted man who participates in a deadly game show called “The Running Man” to win money for his family.
The game predicts that Richards be hunted by professional killers as they try to evade the capture for a month. While navigating through an urban landscape in decomposition and dangerous, Richards becomes a symbol of resistance against the oppressive government.
Powell previously spoke of the project, saying: “I was a fan of Edgar Wright for my whole life. And talk to him Running ManWhat was truly incredible is his opinion. It is not much the original Schwarzenegger film, it is much more rooted in the version of Stephen King (Novella).
“While I like the original 1987 film, it is very different from the story that King wrote, so I am very enthusiastic about the fact that Wright’s film will be much closer to the material of origin.”
Previously Wright had discussed his vision for the film and how he wants it to be a true adaptation of the book, saying: “I think that even in these days it is as in terms of similar, you know that I think that when the remakes are done well both if there is something else to add or there is a different vision.
He continued: “So I think the problem is sometimes as remakes are just a kind of facsimiles of the original film and I have not really thrilled myself with many of them because they feel like a kind of versions of karaoke of the originals”.
Wright added: “Obviously it was like the 70s and 80s that you had those in which they were additives like Philip Kauffman’s Invasion of the Snatcher body OR John Carpenter’s Thing OR David Cronenberg’s Moscow; He is taking something and is doing something interesting with it. “
He continues to speak specifically about his vision for this, saying: “In terms of things I was (doing), as you know, The man running which is something that is in active development. Why is it interesting for me? I like the movie but I like the book more and have not really adapted the book. “
He said: “Also as a teenager when I saw Schwarzenegger’s film, I was like” Oh, it’s not the book at all “and I think nobody adapted that book.

Paramount Pictures will publish the film on November 21, 2025.
