After selling his Looney Tunes films, Warner Bros’s entertainment will try to give a new life in some of his most iconic animation franchises, with theatrical animated films now officially in progress for the works Foctic stones, Looney TonesAND Tom and Jerry.
The study made the announcement during his presentation Cinemacon 2025, reporting a considerable movement of the management after a rocky year for their animation list.
Titles like Coyote vs. Acme Faced with the almost cancellation and jump in the studio, leading the fans to wonder if WB was moving away from his animated roots. But now, it seems that they are trying to correct that since these legendary properties are getting a new theatrical push.
There are still a lot in compresses. Details on Looney Tones AND Tom and Jerry The projects are kept kept locked up, but the simple fact that they are officially under development is encouraging. It cannot be done without wondering, however, if when they are done, WB will commit themselves to them or discard them as their past coupé Looney Tones Movie?
The only project with a little better known is the new Piess flint Film, which was quietly on site for a while. Entitled Meet the flintstonesThe film comes from the directors Aaron Horvath AND Michael JelenicThe duo behind The Super Mario Bros. film. According to reports, their opinion is a story of origin for the prehistoric family.
This is not the first time that Warner Bros. has tried to restart the rock group. An animated series previously announced by adults by Family boy Creator Seth MacFarlane Ended up being blocked in development. But this new film seems to have more impetus behind it.
All these characters have helped to define the legacy of WB Animation, so it’s nice to see that they are giving them the treatment with big screen. We will just have to wait and see how it will end. At least Warner Bros. Animation is making a push!
We hope that the films arrive with the charm, humor and heart that made them iconic in the first place.
