The prequel series Dexter: Sin Original It has been renewed for season 2 in Paramount+ with showtime. The news arrives just over a month after the end of the show’s first season.
It was originally previewed in December 2024. Set in 1991, the show acts as a history of origin of Dexter Morgan, with Patrick Gibson interpreting the young version of the iconic killers of the killers. Michael C. HallWho originated the role of the protagonist in the Showtime series DexterIt provides the inner monologue of the young Dexter.
Together with Gibson and Hall, the cast also includes Molly Brown, Christina Milian, Cristiano Slater, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu, Reno WilsonSpecial star Sarah Michelle GellarAND Patrick Dempsey.
The official description of the show states:
“When his blood siege of blood can no longer be ignored, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a designed code to help him find and kill the people who deserve to be eliminated by the Miaco company.
Clyde Phillips, the original showrunner and executive producer Dexterreturns to that role for Original sin. Hall is also an executive manufacturer of the series.
Paramount has placed great emphasis on the expansion of the Dexter Franchise, with showtime previously broadcast the sequel series Dexter: new blood.
Production is currently underway following that show, Dexter: ResurrectionWith Hall returning to the leading role. The series is also the protagonist Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, Nito Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, with James RemarAND Peter Dinklage.
