Featurate behind the scenes for the legend of A24 Ochi highlights the magic of the practical effects

A24 has published a featurette for its magical new fantasy adventure film The legend of Ochi. It offers a look behind the scenes to make the film.

The video focuses on the journey of the writer and director Isaiah Saxon to revive “the almost lost art of practical cinematographic practice in his breathtaking fantasy debut”. It’s really nice to see how the creative team gave birth to this film!

The film focuses on a girl who lives on a mysterious island and makes friends with a small creature known as Ochi as they undertake a journey into the desert.

The synopsis recites: “In a remote northern village, a girl, Yuri, grew up never going out after sunset and fear the usual forest creatures known as Ochi.

“When an Ochi child is left behind by his pack, he starts in the adventure of a life to bring her together with her family.” We also learn that the girl “discovers the mysteries of animal communication”.

It looks like a fantastic film that tells a story of fantastic and fun adventure that can enjoy the whole family. I like films like this that have a sense of reverential fear and wonder and show a great imagination.

The film is the protagonist Helena Zengel (Crasher system, World news) ,, Finn Wolfhard, Emily WatsonAND Willem Dafoe.
