Lionsgate has released a new image from The Strangers: Chapter 2 With a new look Madelaine Petschwho will return to be tormented by the trio of sadist masked killers. They also announced that the film will be released on September 26, 2025.
Petsch, who returns to the role of Maya, who survived the first film, shared in a statement: “I promise we are doing The strangers – Chapter 2 As terrifying as possible and I can’t wait to show you on September 26th ”
Producers Courtney Solomon AND Mark Canton Added: “Like fans of strangers from all over the world, we are enthusiastic about chapter 2 – it is the type of movie that the audience that will watch between the fingers will have. To bring it to theaters in this season of Halloween seems perfect and we can’t wait for everyone to see where the story will go.”
The first film of the trilogy was basically a remake of the 2008 original film. In The Strangers: Chapter 1“After their car broke into a disturbing small city, a young couple is forced to spend the night in a remote cabin. Panic derives as they are terrified of three masked strangers who affect no reason without mercy and apparently.”
All the films are directed by Renny Harlin (A nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Deep Blue Sea). Previously he expressed that the entire project was considered an epic terror journey.
He explained: “Of course, we fired them one above the other and mixed, as the films are always made. But we had to keep in mind that this is an arc of history.
“It is a 4.5 -hour film, and the first film is a first act. Plan the characters and the terror and the killers and our main character, who will survive the first film, but then you will make a journey for the next two.”
I hope the sequel is better than the first film.
