The trailer is shared in collaboration with the Film Film Festival, where we are trying to exhibit some of the Radical Indies films and shorts that the filmmakers are creating.
What was the inspiration for your movie? How did you come the idea?
Tinkerhell is a project that began as a conceptual challenge: and if we had taken the Trope to create a horror version of a public domain character, who became common in the terrible films B and actually tried to make it frightening.
Tell us about you. What is your background? How long have you been a director?
Noah Sterling is a Mixed Persian-American media director who works in animation, live-action and VFX. Noah’s work is strongly influenced by comics and soul styles and its work can be identified by arresting steps and a comic wit at rapid pace.
Noah is widely known for his work for Marvel Entertainment, where he produced digital series and higher digital content in Marvel. Noah continued to collaborate with the greatest stars of the music industry such as: Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and Justin Bieber. He also helped important brands such as Disney, MTV and Apple to tell their stories with animated shorts and promotions.
What was your favorite part of the film process for this project?
All the unique challenges that have had the creation of a frightening and terrifying atmosphere through the means of animation.
What are you most proud of this movie?
“Animated cinematography”.
What was your most demanding moment or experience you had while you shoot your movie?
Correction of many animated errors from our decentralized remote team.
In this case, how has your film changed or deferred by its original concept during pre-production, production and/or post-production? How did the way you approach future projects as a result?
Initially the project was conceptualized as more silly and tongue and cheek, against the straight horror path that we ended up going down.
Who were some of your collaborators and actors of the film? How did you start working with each other?
Kimiko Glenn accepted to be Tinkerbell’s voice after seeing our soul concept. It was very exciting to involve an actress of his experience and caliber.
