Prepared to return to the land of the dead such as Disney has officially announced that they are developing Coco 2. During the annual meeting of Disney shareholders, CEO Bob Iger Confirmed that Pixar is developing a sequel to the 2017 Amato film, with a theatrical version scheduled for 2029.
The project is still being developed, but Iger has assured the fans who will catch the same magic as the original. He said:
“While the film is only in the initial phases, we know that it will be full of humor, heart and adventure, and we can’t wait to share more.”
Pixar is reporting the key creatives Cocoincluding the director Lee Unkrich and co-lurk Adrian Molina. Mark Nielsen (Toy Story 4, Inside Out 2) is destined to produce.
The original Coco A 12 -year -old boy followed, Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician despite the rigorous ban on his family to music. After accidentally entering the land of the dead, he embarked on a journey to discover the history of his family and demonstrate his passion for music.
The film was a huge success, winning two Academy Awards including the best animated film and the best original song for remember me.
Together with Coco 2Disney is also working on a Coco-Me the theme centers for Disney California Adventure, expanding the presence of the film in the parks.
While the details on the history of the sequel are still in the phase, we can only hope that Pixar will develop a worthy follow-up to one of his most emotionally powerful films.
